I would just like to say a massive ‘THANK YOU’ to Theresa and Ruth for their kind assistance in organising the referral letter to physio late yesterday afternoon for my visit this morning.

I have always found the care and professionalism of the doctors and nurses to be of the highest standard possible . When we consider the strain under which the N H S is currently operating it is all the more creditworthy the service that this surgery provides . If one thing could be improved it would be the time taken to answer telephone calls which can be excessive at times .

I understand the phones can get very busy at times, but I can assure you that our reception staff work very hard to deal with all our patient contacts, both face to face and by telephone as swiftly and carefully as they can. My wife was recently discharged from QEQM with a badly broken ankle, and subsequently developed a chest infection. The help and support I have received from BMS has been outstanding and I would like to thank all the medical staff involved, including Matron, and a special thanks to all the receptionists for their patience and understanding. I have had occasion to ring the surgery several times over the past few days, and receptionist Jean has been unfailingly patient and helpful. I cannot sing her praises highly enough.

It is getting progressively more difficult to get an appointment to see a doctor. Unless one is in a line of patients waiting before 8 am for the surgery to open it is impossible to get a "urgent" appointment to see a doctor or APN.
Dear Patient I am sorry to hear you feel it is difficult to get an appointment with us at the surgery. We are now fully staffed with 7 senior clinical team members (GPs and ANPs), but do I appreciate that at times, we can be extremely busy. We do aim to see all our 'urgent' patients on the same day, or first thing the next day. If you want to discuss your concern further, please do get in touch with myself st the surgery.
